Baptisms

We are delighted if you are thinking of being baptised or are planning to have your child baptised here at Holy Redeemer. We want to help make it a memorable and special occasion for you and your guests.

Baptisms (also known as a Christening) take place in our Sunday morning service at 10.00 am usually as part of our Family Service on the first Sunday of the Month.  Our Church Hall is also available to hire for celebration events after your baptism.

For more information and to enquire about a baptism, contact the church office on office@holyredeemeryork.com

Funerals

When someone dies, there is so much to think about and so much to organise. If you are visiting our website because you are have lost a loved one, we are sorry for your loss. We would be privileged to help you celebrate their life and say your goodbyes.

You can have a funeral service at Holy Redeemer, or we can provide a minister to lead the service at another venue, for example at a crematorium. The minister will visit you to listen to the story of your loved one, and to plan the service with you. You don’t have to be a churchgoer to have a Church of England funeral.

The next step

Usually the first step is to choose a funeral director. They will contact our church office on your behalf to arrange a date, time and place for the service. If you are unsure, you could contact the church office yourself and our parish administrator can pass on the details of local funeral directors. Contact the church office on office@holyredeemeryork.com
